Margaret Biggs

Margaret Biggs is Chair of Canada’s International Development Research Centre, the Matthews Fellow in Global Public Policy at Queen’s University and a Non-Resident Scholar, Center for Sustainable Development, at the Brookings Institution. Previously she was President of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet (Government of Canada) and Executive Co-Chair of the China Council on International Cooperation on Environment and Development. Ms.Biggs also serves on the Advisory Council for FinDevCanada and on the Board of World University Service of Canada (WUSC). She co-led the Study Group on Global Education and its report, Global Education for Canadians: Equipping the Next Generation of Canadians to Succeed in a Complex World.
